i'm back!

Sorry i've been away for so long but my little break is over and i'm back to work, with lots of exciting things ahead!

From October the 4th to the end of November, i am taking part in Paper. Scissors. Stone. Vol 4, as part of Made In Bristol.
Here is a little intro to what  i'm doing.

& i have also been selected as a finalist for the Knitted Textile Awards 2012 and will be showing my work at the Knit & Stitch shows, in Alexandra Palace and Harrogate International Centre.

& best of all, i finally have my studio! (although its a mess at the moment until we get the furniture!)

'Art Through Textiles' Exhibition

Whilst on holiday in Sherwood Forest, I stumbled upon this lovely exhibition at Rufford Abbey. It featured some beautiful hand embroidery and had a fantastic contemporary feel (which, I must admit, I wasnt expecting!)

a little break.

after the success of my show and finishing uni, ive decided to take a little break. i'm finding it difficult to concentrate without a place to work so hopefully i will get my studio set up soon (i cannot wait!)

moving out of my beautiful Bath house was a very sad day! it may have had it's downsides (like slugs in the kitchen, huge gaps in the windows and boiler breakdowns) but there is no doubt that i will miss that house and living in Bath.

charlie boy.

i haven't introduced you to the new man in my life, charlie! we adopted him over a month ago but it feels like we've had him forever. he loves his greens, likes to chase you around and lick your feet!

I had a great time at my private view on friday and received some amazing feedback! Thank you so much to everyone who came!

tonights the big night!

well the day has finally arrived of our private view! can believe how quickly it came around. made some last minute adjustments yesterday so i'm all ready to go!

the opening times for the exhibition it 10am-5pm from the 9th- 17th of June.
