the end is getting nearer...

this week we had to move out of our studios for the last time ever!
but on the plus side, we will we be getting our degree show spaces very soon and im in love with mine! its quite small compared to other spaces but its the bright, yet cosy corner that i asked for, yay :)

felt exhibition

some of my work is currently hanging in the 'Pushing Boundaries' exhibition which is running alongside the International Feltmakers Association annual conference.
its a really lovely little exhibition that challenges the stereotypical perception of 'felt'.


im also helping to run the wool shop at the conference... & i truly was in wool heaven!

this is barney, the new edition to the bear family :) we also have another member which i will introduce to you soon!

collection deux.

the next cushion collection is now on the go! the colours for this collections are inspired by one of my favourite pieces of art, by Mark Rothko.
this week i had to learn how to use the industrial linker to sew it up.

ohh and heres a little sneaky peek at a new addition to the bear family... more on him later :)

i know i said that the intarsia cushion wouldnt feature in my show, but it was so well received in my work review last month that i made another one!
& also a little friend for him :)

work review

so yesterday i had a review of all the work ive done in the third year (pretty scary!)
but it went really well and it turns out, rather than having one big collection... it looks like im going to have lots of little ones... so theres something for everyone!
after my review (which lasted over an hour), i went through every single sample and pinned up my favourites.

now all ive got to do... is make them into cushions!
